Starring: ------ Director: Frank C. Decot 'Prayer is a
clear window to look through and see God.'
Servant of God Father Patrick Peyton, CSC, devoted his life to
promoting family prayer, especially the Rosary. This beloved
priest believed that this simple act of faith had the power to change
the world. He spent the greater part of his life convincing
millions of people to try prayer through Rosary Crusades, radio and
television programs featuring the biggest stars, billboards, films, and
other ministries. Produced in 1970, this 26-minute documentary
chronicles the life of one of the most influential Catholic priests in
American history. From his poor childhood in Ireland to the
illness that changed his life to his leadership of a major Hollywood
studio, Father Peyton remembered the lesson he learned at home about
family prayer and sought to spread it to the world. He believed
praying the Rosary and devotion to Mary, the Mother of Christ, could
cure all of the world's ills. Now a candidate for sainthood,
Father Pat remains an icon of what faith and virtue can accomplish in
this modern world.
