Johanna Spyri's classic story comes to life in this wonderful adaptation about a young orphan girl abandoned by her aunt to live with her grandfather deep in the Swiss Alps. The wonderful young Heidi enchants the lonely old man and ignites sparks of joy, and nestled high in the mountains, she finds a warm and beautiful home. But Heidi's happy life is disrupted when her rich Uncle Sessemann decides to bring her down to the city to live with her crippled cousin Klara. Sad and lonely away from the Alps, Heidi once again weaves her magic so that everyone can enjoy the world she loves so much, and become a family once again.
